Jyoti Prakash Acharya, a first-generation entrepreneur and an electrical engineer, started his own enterprise in Balasore, Odisha, in December 2017. Born to an orthodox Brahmin non-business family, he aspired to be an employer rather than an employee. With a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology Mesra, Ranchi, he has extensive experience in project engineering, design, commissioning, and testing. He served as a Manager at TATASTEEL in Jamshedpur and Senior Manager at TATASTEEL Kalinga Nagar, Duburi. In June 2020, He founded Brisbun Food Industries Pvt.Ltd., a bakery company that produces a wide variety of products under the registered brand name BRISBUN. The company has gained popularity due to its quality and innovation, and aims to make the people of Odisha have the taste premium bakery products, including breads, cookies, rusks, and cakes. Kavya Foods operates a highly productive semi-automatic plant with stateof-the-art machinery and it is ZED certified organisation. In recognition of his entrepreneurial accomplishments, He received the 'Young Entrepreneur' award from Shri Naveen Pattnaik Chief Minister of Odisha during the 2022-23 Make In Odisha Conclave. He primarily believes in making briliant and efficent team of employees and distributors.
